Our Love
Story
Lizzy and Mario met on a sunny Thursday afternoon on the Kapalua pickleball court back in July. What began as a lighthearted game, teaming up to challenge their dads, quickly became the start of something unforgettable.
They may have lost their first match together, but they won each other. On the final point, Lizzy took a vicious hit to the upper chest area by Rodger, but she laughed it off, declaring that anyone who hit her owed her roses. The very next day, Mario surprised her with two dozen roses and a blissful spa day at the Montage.

From friendly competition to thoughtful gestures, their story began with laughter, a little sparkle, and a lot of heart.
The rest, was history.
Since that day, their story continued across miles and time zones. They dated long-distance, counting down visits and making the most of every moment together, until they made the courageous decision to turn love into real life.

In less than 50 days, Lizzy packed up her home, found a new job, shipped her car across the ocean, and made Maui her permanent home. It was bold, brave, and full of heart. It marked the beginning of building a life together in the place where their story first began.

Sometimes love starts with a paddle… and grows into forever.
Getting There
Once you land, we recommend picking up a rental car or arranging transportation in advance, as having your own transportation will make exploring the island much easier. From OGG airport, West Maui is approximately a 45–60 minute drive, depending on traffic and time of day.​ Take your time, enjoy the scenery, and settle into island time!
Once You're There
Once you arrive in West Maui, it’s all about slowing down and settling into island time. From Kapalua to Kaanapali and Lahaina, this side of the island offers beautiful beaches, coastal walks, oceanfront dining, and breathtaking sunsets at every turn.
